Based in Atlanta, Douglas J. Witten is an attorney, mediator, arbitrator, and negotiation coach with 25+ years of professional experience. Along with founding Innovative ADR International, a dispute resolution company, Doug has assisted parties in over 1,300 cases resolve legal disputes – in English and Spanish. He has practiced M&A and corporate health law in two of the world’s largest global firms and served state government in various roles for over a decade. His diverse and comprehensive background uniquely establishes Doug as a highly-qualified presenter and trainer.

Doug has emerged as a leader in local, regional, national, and international dispute resolution communities, formerly serving as chair of the American Health Law Association ADR Affinity Group and most recently as chair of the Atlanta Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section (2022-23). In 2021, Doug was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, an invitation-only association of recognized alternative dispute resolution professionals.

Doug’s expertise centers on healthcare, legal, and conflict management topics.
